How to cancel Disney+ in 2026 (web, app, and bundle)

Cancel Disney+ whether you are billed directly or through Apple, Google, Amazon, or a cable provider - plus what the Hulu merger means for your bundle.

26 July 2026|5 min read

Disney+ is one of the more straightforward services to leave, but where you cancel depends entirely on how you pay. This guide covers the web, the app, third-party billing, and the one wrinkle that is new in 2026 - the folding of Hulu into Disney+.

Cancel on the Web (Recommended)

The browser is the most reliable place to cancel because it handles every billing type in one flow:

  1. Go to disneyplus.com and sign in
  2. Click your profile icon in the top-right and choose "Account"
  3. Under "Subscription", select your Disney+ plan
  4. Choose "Cancel Subscription" and confirm - you will see the date your access ends

If You're Billed Through Apple, Google, Amazon, or Cable

When a third party handles your billing, Disney cannot cancel the charge. Cancel from whoever bills you:

  • Apple: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Disney+ → Cancel Subscription
  • Google Play: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Disney+ → Cancel
  • Amazon: Account → Memberships & Subscriptions → Disney+ → Cancel
  • Cable or telecom provider: manage it in your provider account, not on Disney+

The Hulu Bundle Wrinkle

In 2026 Hulu is being merged into the Disney+ app, and the Disney+ and Hulu bundle is being restructured. If you are on a bundle, cancelling one part may not cancel the other, and some legacy bundle plans have been retired. Check your Account page to see exactly which plan you hold before you cancel, so you do not accidentally keep paying for the half you meant to drop.

What Happens After You Cancel

  • You keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for
  • No partial refund is issued, and none is needed
  • Your profiles and watchlist are retained for a while in case you return
  • You can resubscribe anytime without losing your settings

Don't Lose Track of the Next One

Disney+ is rarely the only streaming charge on an account. The reason streaming costs creep up is that each service is easy to forget on its own. A single live list of every subscription, its price, and its renewal date is the simplest way to stay in control - and a reminder before each renewal turns every charge into a decision instead of a surprise.
