Xbox Game Pass is tied to your Microsoft account, so cancellation happens through Microsoft services, not the console itself. The same steps work for Game Pass Ultimate, Console, and PC plans.
Xbox Game Pass subscriptions are Microsoft subscriptions first and Xbox subscriptions second. That means the cancel switch lives in your Microsoft account, not on the Xbox dashboard, and the same page also handles Microsoft 365 and other services.

On the console, go to Settings → Account → Subscriptions, select Game Pass, and turn off recurring billing. This is just a front end for the same Microsoft account page, so either method works.
Open the Xbox app or Microsoft Store app, sign in with the same Microsoft account, go to your profile or account settings, find Game Pass, and turn off recurring billing.
If your Game Pass came from a retailer code, a console bundle, or a third-party promotion, Microsoft may not be able to cancel or refund it. In those cases the cancellation or refund request goes to whoever sold it to you.
